Required Objectives for most engagements
These objectives are just the framework, you need to add more details regarding your objectives. Make sure your objectives are specific, measurable and attainable.
App Inventor 2
- learn the basics of computer programming and developing programs for use on mobile devices
- complete at least 3 video tutorials - see link in the learning launcher
- Create your own level or change existing tutorial to make it your own.
Bridge Building
- Design at least 3 bridges on the West Point Bridge Design software, without using the templates. At least one of them has to be under $250,000. Choose one of them to build out of wood and test in the ISC machine.
Circuitry - Tronix, Snap Circuits, Pneumatics
- Lean the 4 basic elements common to all circuits
- learn the safety tips for working with electricity or pneumatics.
- How to identify and avoid dangerous short circuits (Tronix and Snap only)
- The difference between AC and DC Current (Tronix and Snap only)
- Build and compare a simple circuit and parallel circuit. (Tronix and Snap only)
Crazy Talk:
- Have one animation using the pictures in the software
- One using your picture
- Use your voice in at least one animation
- Use an audio clip from the Internet for one animation
Fischertechnick:
- Learn 6 simple machines and teach them to the class.
- Make one model of each of the simple machine and be able to explain how it works.
Flight Simulator
- Answer the required aviation questions - see 1/2 sheet of paper
- Tell me what missions you want to fly?
- Tell me how many missions you want to fly?
- What kind of planes you want to fly?
K’Nex:
- Learn 6 simple machines and teach them to the class.
- Make one model of each of the simple machine and be able to explain how it works. Below are some examples.
Music Editing:
- Create at least 3 songs using clips from the server that are at least 10 seconds long and are different genre
LEGO Mindstorm Robotics - beginning:
- Build one driving base from the instructions,
- add attachments and program for follow a line and hit the red ball.
- Be able to teach the class about your programming.
LEGO EV3 Robotics – advanced:
- Build and program a robot to go through an obstacle course.
- Teach the class about your programming.
PhotoShop:
- Create at least one enhancing photo, 1 morphing photo, 1 selective coloring photo

- Create a game (be specific in telling me what your game will be about.
- If time use Makey Makey to control your game
Sim City
- Tell me how many people you want in your city
- Tell me how much money you want to have at the end of your city
- What services will you have in your city?
Stop Motion:
- One movie using objects (tell me what your movie will be about)
- One movie using drawings (tell me what your movie will be about)
- One movie using green screen (tell me what your movie will be about)
Tinkercad - 3-D printing
- finish all the lessons in the basic, accessories section, and at least the 1st 2 in the gadgets section.
- Create a unique model using at least 5 parts (in your project plan tell what you want to make)
